Ryan Hopkins

Automation Engineer

Ryan joined Talos in August 2026 as an Automation Engineer after Graduating from Oregon State University with bachelor’s degrees in: Industrial Engineering, Innovation Management and Sustainability.

During college, Ryan built a strong engineering foundation through a variety of roles. As a MECOP intern at Consolidated Metco and Epson Portland, he built an AI vision system to detect defects and utilized 3D-printed to streamline the production of fixtures for COBOT cells. Prior to his internships, he worked as Lead Network Technician at OSU, where he worked on large scale Network installations and upgrades. These experiences highlight his ability to improve efficiency and deliver results.

Ryan brings his talents to Talos Engineering because of the opportunity to solve complex problems and see his ideas come to life through automation engineering. He is also looking forward to learning from an experienced team, growing as an engineer and contributing to projects that have large tangible impacts on clients.

Outside of work, Ryan has many hobbies, with many of them centered around spending time outdoors, from backcountry skiing and mountaineering to competing in whitewater kayaking and rafting competitions.  When not outdoors, he works on DIY Projects at home or improving cooking skills.
