Controls Integration & Programming

As automation professionals, we’re lucky to be the people who get to twiddle the bits that bring equipment to life. As equipment becomes more sophisticated and complex, the software that runs it increases in both intricacy and importance. Most modern manufacturing equipment relies heavily on automation electronics and software. At Talos, working with this technology is our specialty.

While the bulk of our experience is with a handful of the most common brands, we also have a reputation for digging into and working with more obscure systems that competitors are hesitant to work with. We enjoy working with less common systems partly because we like learning about new things, but mostly because we enjoy a challenge. Some of the brands and systems that we’ve had the most experience with:

  • Rockwell Automation (all PLCs, SCADA and HMI software)
  • AVEVA InTouch (formerly Wonderware)
  • GE Proficy, Cimplicity, iFIX (formerly Intellution)
  • Inductive Automation Ignition
  • Siemens S7-200, 300, 1200, 1400 (both Step 7 and TIA Portal)
  • Automation Direct DirectLogic Series (Koyo) and C-More Touch Screens
  • Schneider / Modicon

Some other brands that we’ve dabbled in:

  • National Instruments (NI) / LabVIEW
  • Wago
  • Beckhoff
  • Omron
  • ABB
  • Mitsubishi
