A few weeks ago, Talos had the honor of hosting a Hardware Workshop for Hanford High’s Robotics & Engineering Club. Talos donated a goBilda starter kit and Rev Robotics Control & Power Bundle kit to help in the effort, and the students spent the morning building, programming and operating a working First Tech Challenge robot chassis. Talos’s Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Richland made for a perfect venue. We’re looking forward to continued engagement with this talented group of budding engineers.
If you’re not familiar, the club participates in the FIRST Tech Challenge, where the team designs, builds and programs a robot to compete in the annual game.
Participation in the program is expensive, so if you’re moved to help, please consider donating to the club. You can do so through one of two methods:
(1) Donate directly to the Robotics Club account with RSD / Hanford High School: https://wa-richland-lite.intouchreceipting.com/HHSActivities
(Scroll down to “Engineering Club Donations” and enter the amount you wish to donate) or
(2) Donate to the club’s FIRST Washington Booster Account, maintained by FIRST Washington: https://app.aplos.com/aws/give/FIRSTWashington/TeamDonations
(Under “Purpose”, select “FTC 8099” which is the club’s team number and enter the amount).
